A standard haul bag that packs down inside another one.

Conventional haul bag shape — the one you already know how to use — built in an 18 oz vinyl that isn't as stiff as armored haul bag fabric. More comfortable against your back, and soft enough to fold.

That last part matters more than it sounds. A urethane-armored haul bag holds its shape whether you want it to or not, so it takes up a bag's worth of space no matter what's in it. The Orangey collapses down reasonably and stuffs inside a bigger bag — bring it up the wall packed flat, pull it out as your summit pack or your day bag, then stuff it back down for the haul out.

The shoulder straps aren't removable, but they're packable. Nothing to lose at the base of the route, nothing flapping while you haul. The waist belt comes off entirely.

A 300D ripstop cinch collar closes it down fast, and fully bar-tacked haul straps take the load.
