The most stable purpose-built waist pack for climbing.
Carries everything you actually need — without sag, swing, or accidental unclipping.
At just 5.2 oz (147 g) with ~3.3 L capacity, the Empanada Pack holds phone, gloves, snacks, screws, tags, headlamp, or daily essentials while staying tight and centered on your waist.
Why It Climbs Better
Austria Alpin pass-through buckle
A true safety-style buckle that cannot release under load or movement — your pack stays on, period.
Stabilized high-ride waist geometry
The belt routes behind the phone pocket and around the bag body, locking the load high on the waist instead of sagging onto your butt.
Compression-controlled volume
A main compression strap cinches the bag flat when partially loaded and expands when full — no flop, no swing.
Waterproof phone pocket
External weather-resistant zip pocket protects electronics while keeping them instantly accessible.
Modular chalk compatibility
Attach your own chalk bag to run a single unified waist system.

Love using this pack for carrying a little more than what would fit in pockets and a little less than a backpack. Plus it saves the back sweat and overhang-sandbagging of carrying a normal pack! The bright colors pop nicely in photos too. Cat approved 5/5
This empanada waist pack made multi-pitch climbing so much easier. I've always preferred a back pack to having a bunch of stuff dangling off my harness, but on long or challenging multi-pitches carrying a backpack sucks. This pack solves that problem, sits like a chalk bag and I hardly noticed it is there, and is doesn't dangle/ change my balance. It fits a puffy jacket, small first aid kit, snacks, headlamp, 1/2L of water and a phone, something I have never seen another bag like it accomplish.
This pack has changed the way I pack for most multi pitch routes. Most "harness bags" out there aren't quite big enough, making do you end up with 3-4 dangling pods to get everything you need. This pack fits a first aid kit, food, jackets, headlamp and phone, giving me everything I need for most 6-12 pitch routes!
